Analyzing the Roster, Sean Monahan

Sean Monahan is the first line Center for the Calgary Flames. His potential is very high to become a real good player that will make the all-star game someday. I believe that he could become possibly the captain of the Flames someday. His stats this year were very good, his sophomore year was one of much improvement. He is a big frame, has good hockey sense, and a good two way game. Makes others around him better. Is one piece of many for the future of the Flames, without him a lot of that magic from this year would not have happened. Any GM would be lucky to have him on their team. He is a piece that is non trade-able and for that there is a reason. At an early age of 20, showing that much skill, there is much more to be seen from Sean Monahan.

SCOUTING REPORT
Assets: Owns a very projectable 6-2 frame, a wealth of all-around ability, hockey sense and two-way appeal. Is the type of center who makes his linemates better players.
Flaws: Is not a very physical player, despite his size, but he must learn to use it more effectively (and more often). To that end, he also needs to gain even more strength.
Career Potential: Talented all-round center with good upside.
