Team Finland Announces World Cup Coaching Staff

On Wednesday Team Finland announced their management team for the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.

It was announced that the teams general manager would be former Dallas Stars winger Jere Lehtinen and current Blue Jackets GM Jarmo Kekalainen would be the assistant general manager.

The coaching staff is highlighted by former NHLer and now assistant coach for Team Finland Teppo Numminen. Joining Numminen is head coach Lauri Marjamaki, assistant coaches; Waltteri Immonen and Kalle Kaskinen. As well as goalie coach Ari Hilli.

Along with the coaches it was announced that advisors for the team would be 3 former NHL stars in Saku Koivu, Kimmo Timonen and the Finnish Flash Teemu Selanne.

It’s a management group with lots of experience that could pay off and make Finland a force at next years World Cup.
