The Flyers will try to snap a 3 game skid tonight as they will take on the Buffalo Sabres. They looked quite undisciplined on Tuesday as they fell to Anaheim 4-1 at home. They’ll need to pick up points tonight if they hope to gain ranks in the standings.
Buffalo are also looking for tonight’s game to launch them in the right direction as they have dropped 5 of their last 7. They lost to the Panthers 7-4 on Tuesday.
Keys to the Game
1: Get off to a hot start. The Flyers were held to 5 shots on goal in the entire first period against Anaheim on Tuesday. They will need to get off to a much better start tonight if they don’t want to find themselves down.
2: Stop Ryan O’Reilly. Buffalo’s leading scorer has 17 goals and 28 assists on the year and if he gets going it could be a long night.
3: Stay disciplined. There were a lot of missed opportunities in Tuesday’s game but especially due to a lack of discipline. The most glaring moment being when Jake lost their 4 minute powerplay when he mauled someone in front of the Anaheim net. Things like that simply can not happen.
