Lightning snap 2 game losing streak in overtime against predators final score 4-3

The Tampa Bay Lightning get an exciting win at home in front a packed out crowd at Amalie arena. Nashville’s own Mike Fisher started the scoring late in the first, in what was a pretty evenly matched 1st period and was the only goal scored in the first period.

Going into the second period the Predators were leading 1-0, Lightning quickly got to work with J.T Brown scoring the first goal of the Game for the Bolts gaining the asst from Filppula and Sustr tieing the game at 1-1 (8:23). The Bolts did not let up as Nikita Kucherov scored next, with assists from Nesterov and Bishop to take a 2-1 (10:07) lead again. A pretty evenly matched 2nd period. Seemed to heat up in the 3rd period as Nashville went on a scoring streak; with goals from James Neal (asst Roman Josi, Barret Jackman) and Filip Forsberg (asst Mike Ribeiro, Roman Josi). The Bolts were not done, as Steven Stamkos scored late (19:33) to tie it, sending the game into overtime.

Overtime was quick, the Lightning didn’t let up and Tyler Johnson scored to finalize the win 4-3.

This win was an important win for the Bolts as the Panthers loss to St.Louis 5-3 helps the Bolts gain ground on the 1st place Panthers.
