Chicago Makes A Third Deal

After landing Ladd and Ehrhoff, it seems the Chicago Blackhawks have made yet another deal. This time bringing in forwards Tomas Fleischmann and Dale Weise, in exchange for Philip Danault and a 2nd round pick in 2018.

Weise has 14 goals and 12 assists through 56 games played. Fleischmann has 10 goals and 10 assists through 57 games. Weise has a cap hit of 1,025,000 30% of which is being retained by Montreal. Fleischmann carries a cap hit of 750,000 none of which is being retained. Fleischmann and Weise are both UFA at seasons end.

Danault, originally drafted by Chicago 26th overall in the 2011 draft carries an 863,333 cap hit and is in the last year of his entry level contract. Through 30 games in the NHL this year he has accumulated 1 goal and 4 assists.
