Panthers strike again acquiring Purcell from Oilers

Just 30 minutes after acquiring Jiri Hudler from the Calgary Flames, the Florida Panthers have traded with the other Alberta team.

The Panthers have acquired right wing Teddy Purcell from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for a third round pick.

Purcell, who is set to become a free agent this off season, had 32 points for the Oilers in 61 games.

At 6’2, 195lbs, Purcell brings size and skill to Florida’s lineup.

Purcell signed with the Oilers in the 2014 off season, and scored 23 goals and 66 points in 143 games.

The year the pick is in is unknown at this time but is believed to be a 2016.
