Avs,Islanders swap forwards Cliche and Beck

The New York Islanders have acquired forward Marc-Andre Cliche from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for forward Taylor Beck.

Beck, 24, has played 46 games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL scoring 16 goals and 17 assists for a total of 33 points. He played 2 games for the Islanders where he had 2 penalty minutes. Beck brings a big frame standing 6’2, 210lbs.

Cliche, who was drafted 56th overall in 2005 by the Rangers, has spent his entire year with the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL scoring 6 goals, 19 points and a +3 rating. Cliche is also a big body at 6’0, 203lbs.
