Goligoski to Arizona

The Arizona Coyotes have acquired the negotiating rights to Alex Goligoski in exchange for a fifth round selection in the 2016 NHL draft. Assuming he signs with the club, this move helps bolster Arizona’s d-corps which is lacking in the depth department. Goligoski should anchor Arizona’s second pairing as Ekman-Larsson currently occupies the first pairing left slot. Possible pairings are as follows:

Ekman-Larsson-Stone

Goligoski-Murphy

Grossmann(If resigned)-Michalek

Comment below what you think of the move, personally I think it’s a little strange for a rebuilding team to pick up a 30 year old rear guard but maybe it’s an indication there’s more to come from them. Look out for more moves as the draft quickly approaches.
