Habs’ Shaw suspended 3 preseason games

Montreal Canadiens forward Andrew Shaw has been suspended three preseason games for boarding Washington Capitals prospect Connor Hobbs.

Shaw boarded Hobbs in his first game with the Canadiens and left quite the memorable debut. He was given a major penalty for boarding along with a game misconduct.

Because the suspension comes in preseason, Shaw will lose no pay. He has only been suspended one other time during his NHL career prior to this.
