Lightning sign Kucherov to a 3 year deal

Steve Yzerman and the Tampa Bay Lightning just keep working their magic, signing Nikita Kucherov to a three-year deal worth an annual average of $4.766 million.

Yzerman definitely doesn’t get enough credit for what he has done, keeping one of the best teams in the NHL together.┬áThis puts an end to the rumors surrounding him bolting to the KHL. This is a huge deal at an extremely low price which works for the benefit of Tampa as they need multiple players to take a home discount to keep their core together

How Lightning fans and Kucherov fantasy owners are feeling after today:

Next on Tampa’s signing list are Ondrej Palat, Tyler Johnson, Jonathan Drouin, Nikita Nesterov, and Andrej Sustr among others. From this list I see a lot of money with possible 4-6 million contracts to Palat, Johnson, and Drouin and 2-4 million for Nesterov and Sustr.

Don’t underestimate the Tampa Bay Lightning. This team wants to stay together, they want to win.
