Okposo solid in Sabres debut

Kyle Okposo looked good in his first game as a Buffalo Sabre. The former New York Islander was forced to miss Thursday’s season opener against the Canadiens after sustaining a knee injury in practice.

As it looks right now, the injury wasn’t too serious. He is on a line with Ryan O’Reilly and Sam Reinhart, due to the Sabres dealing with some big injuries. They are without Jack Eichel (ankle) and Evander Kane (ribs), for what looks to be long-term.

Okposo will be leaned on to make an immediate offensive impact. As he has tonight, playing a ton on the powerplay and currently has a goal and an assist mid-way through the second period.
