Trouba Signs in Winnipeg, Trade to Follow?

The Winnipeg Jets have finally come to terms with defenseman Jacob Trouba on a contract. The deal has a duration of two years with an AAV of 3 million. This number is considered very low as it was reported that Trouba was seeking north of five million dollars for his services.

This number leads me to speculate that a trade featuring the blue liner is not only possible but probable as his cap hit can be fit in to more team’s budgets. Teams that I would watch are Boston, Tampa Bay, Rangers, Edmonton and Detroit. If I had to guess the most likely candidate would be Detroit as they have a big need for a right shot D and the available resources to acquire him.  It is also reported that Trouba would love to play for Detroit and Detroit has already made an offer.
