Bruins’ Marchand fined for dangerous trip on Kronwall

Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand has been fined $10,000 for the incident with Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall. It was a dangerous play that could very well have been avoided.

Marchand likes to play with an edge and get on the other team’s skin. He’s a tough competitor, who gives 110% on any given night. Nevertheless, there are times when plays and incidents can be avoided and this is one of them.

A fine of $10,000 isn’t a whole lot, but still.┬áIt is enough. Brad Marchand is always on the radar when it comes to NHL Player Safety because of the way he players. Put it this way, if he’s not on your team you hate him. But, if he was on your team, you’d love him.

It’s okay though, being that it is a fine, there will be no suspension. Good news for Marchand and good news for the Boston Bruins.
