The Las Vegas Golden Knights made history today. The team announced that they have signed teams first player in franchise history, Reid Duke.

Duke, who turned 21 in January, is currently playing for the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL. In 54 games this season, he has 35 goals, 32 assists and 67 points. Along with that, Duke has a +9 rating along with 71 penalty minutes.
The 6’0, 190lb centre from Calgary, Alberta, is in his 6th WHL season and has split 3 years between Brandon and the Lethbridge Hurricanes. In 306 career games, he has 113 career goals and 250 career points. To add on to an impressive career, he has 27 playoff games under his belt in which he posted 25 points all with the Wheat Kings.
Duke was drafted in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. He was chosen in the 6th round, 169th overall by the Minnesota Wild, but the Wild chose not to sign him.
