ST. LOUIS – After the addition of goaltending depth two days ago, the Blues are back at it again, this time on defense.
St. Louis has agreed to terms with 21-year-old Jake Walman on a three-year, entry-level deal. The 6-foot defensemen was selected 82nd overall by the Blues in the 2014 NHL Draft.
Through 39 games played with Providence College this year, Walman accumulated 7 goals and 18 helpers to go along with 42 penalty minutes. He tallied 69 points in 107 games with Providence in three seasons.
Walman will report to the Blues AHL Affiliate Chicago Wolves.
