The Edmonton Oilers announced today that they signed forward Jujhar Khaira to a two year contract extension. According to CapFriendly, the deal is worth $1.35 million and carries a cap hit of $675 000.
Khaira spent most of his time in the AHL with the Bakersfield Condors where he posted eight goals, twenty points and thirty-one penalty minutes as well as a plus-4 rating in twenty-seven games.
The 22 year old played 10 games with the Oilers this season where he recorded 1 goal in those games. In 25 career NHL games, Jujhar has 1 goal, three points and 15 penalty minutes, all with the Oilers.
Khaira was the Oilers 3rd round, 63rd overall selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
