Flames sign Michael Stone

CALGARY, AB – The Flames have had a busy past few days. They have acquired the likes of Travis Hamonic, Ryan Murphy (before placing him on waivers) and Eddie Lack via trades, re-signed Kris Versteeg, and waived Lance Bouma.

Today the Calgary Flames signed defenceman Michael Stone to a three-year contract with an average annual value of $3.5 million.

Stone, 27, had 15 points in 64 games with the Flames and Arizona Coyotes last season. The defenceman was acquired by Calgary prior to the trade deadline on Feb. 20.

Flames re-signing Michael Stone prior to 07/01, means Arizona will now also get Calgary’s 5th round pick in 2018 as part of the trade package.
