The absence of Michael Cammalleri

With 42 games played scoring 14 goals and adding 24 assists with a +/- of 15. Michael Cammalleri has been out with a right hand injury that has be hindering the offensive production in the New Jersey Devils. Cammalleri has been a great asset in all areas of the ice whether it’s a power play opportunity, 3 on 3, or the occasional shootout.

This right hand injury seems to be similar in the way in which Adam Henrique needed surgery at the end of the season. Coach Hynes has no idea when the team’s most productive forward will return. Cammalleri did dress in the retro uniforms last night which was a hint that he may be getting ready for a return. Coach John Hynes said. “I know he skated [yesterday] but didn’t do much with his stick. It’s one of those things where I’ll probably be able to give you a much better update tomorrow [afternoon].”

No injury update yet on Cammalleri’s return or a time frame when he will be back.

With the Devils losing to the Flyer last night 6-3. They stand first in the Wild Card spot 29-22-7 with 65 points.Their last 10 games the Devils are 5-3-2.
