The Chicago Blackhawks have traded defenceman Rob Scuderi in exchange for LA Kings’ defenceman Christian Erhoff.
Erhoff has two goals and eight assists through forty games whereas Scuderi has no points through 17 games.
Erhoff’s contract is for one year at a cap hit of 1.5 million. Scuderi’s contract is for four years a cap hit of 3,375,000 which was originally signed in 2013/14. This move gives Chicago more flexibility to pursue other additions. The King’s will retain 15% of Erhoff’s salary. Chicago retains 50% of their share of Scuderi’s contract after Pittsburgh originally retained 1.125 million in the Daley trade.
